Ingredients list for Hariso

  • 2 cups Brokenwheat
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 cups Milk
  • a few drops Rose water
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon Green cardamom powder
  • a pinch Salt
  • 5 Almonds
  • 6 Sultanas

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a pan, add the broken wheat and salt and sauté for a few minutes. Add water, sugar and milk.
  2. Continue cooking till it reaches a thick consistency. Remove from heat, add rose water, cardamom and nutmeg powders. Blanch the almonds and cut them into slivers.
  3. Garnish the hariso with almonds and sultanas serve warm.
