Ingredients for Gehun Ki Kheer Recipe

  • Broken wheat soaked for 1 hour 1 cup

  • Ghee 2 tablespoons

  • Raisins 1 tablespoon

  • Green cardamom powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Cashewnuts chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Jaggery (gur) grated 1 cup

  • Milk 3 cups


Step 1

Heat ghee in a thick bottom non stick pan, add lapsi and sauté till transluscent and fragrant.

Step 2

Add raisins and sauté on high heat. Add green cardamom powder and cashewnuts and mix well.Add jaggery and mix well and cook for a minute. Add 1 cup water and cook, stirring continuously for 3-4 minutes.

Step 3

Reduce heat, add milk, gradually and keep stirring till well blended. Serve hot
