Fruit Yogurt Fool

Fruit Yogurt Fool

  • Apples peeled and chopped
    2 medium
  • Pears peeled and chopped
    2 medium
  • Cinnamon
    1 inch stick
  • Skimmed milk yogurt
    4 cups
  • Sugar substitute sucralose
    to taste
  • Porridge Oats
    6 teaspoon
  • Almonds slivered


Step 1

Place apples, pears and cinnamon in a deep pan with half a cup of water.Bring to a boil and simmer on low heat till apples and pears are softened.

Step 2

Remove from heat, discard cinnamon and let cool completely. Place fruits and yogurt in a blender and churn till smooth.

Step 3

Add sugar substitute to taste. Spoon into four individual tall glasses and keep in the refrigerator to chill.

Step 4

Spread out the porridge oats and almonds in a baking tray and place under hot grill until lightly toasted.

Step 5

Shake the pan frequently. Let cool completely.

Step 6

Sprinkle oats-almond mixture on chilled fruit yogurt fools just before serving.

Chef Tip

You can use peaches instead of apples and pears when in season
