Fried Prawn Balls

Fried Prawn Balls Recipe - How to make Fried Prawn Balls

Ingredients

  • Prawn (small) 150 grams

  • Vegetable stock 4 tablespoons

  • Sake 1 tablespoon

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil for deep-frying

  • TO SERVE

  • Sea salt 1 1/2 tablespoons

  • Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Lemon,cut into wedges 1/2

Method

Step 1

Mix prawns, vegetable stock, sake, cornflour and salt in a food processor and process until smooth. Transfer the mixture into a small bowl. Heat sufficient oil in a wok.

Step 2

Grease a tablespoon and scoop two tablespoons of the prawn mixture and shape into a ball. Gently lower the ball into the hot oil and deep-fry till lightly browned. Drain and place on a wire rack.

Step 3

Repeat this process till all the mixture is used up. Mix salt and black pepper powder in a small plate. Serve the fried prawn balls hot, garnished with lemon wedges and pepper salt.
