  • Five spice powder
    1 tablespoon
  • Boneless chicken breasts ¾ inch cubes
  • Soy sauce
    2 tablespoons
  • Vinegar
    1 tablespoon
  • Honey
    1 tablespoon
  • Sesame oil (til oil)
    1/4 cup + tablespoon
  • Garlic minced
    4-5 cloves
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Onion ¾ inch pieces
  • Yellow capsicum ¾ inch pieces
  • Green apples ¾ inch pieces
  • Spring onions chopped
    1/4 cup
  • Ginger
    1 1/2 inch pieces


Step 1

Keep the apple pieces in water. Whisk together the soy sauce, vinegar, one tablespoon sesame oil, five-spice powder, honey, ginger, garlic and salt. Marinate the chicken in above mixture for two hours.

Step 2

Heat the remaining oil in a wok. Add the chicken and toss for two to three minutes. Add the onion, capsicum and apple and continue to toss and cook till the chicken is cooked.

Step 3

Stir in spring onion and serve hot.
