Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add onions and saute for two to three minutes.
Add turmeric powder, garlic, ginger, red chilli powder, cinnamon and saute for two minutes more.Add lemon rind, tomato puree, one and half cups of water, salt and peppercorns.
Simmer for twenty minutes on until the gravy thickens.
Add fish pieces. Cover and cook till fish is done.Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve hot.
