Fish Curry Recipe - Fish cooked in tangy spicy tomato gravy.

  • Fish Fillets cut into 1 cm pieces150 grams

  • Tomato puree 2 cups

  • Onions chopped 3 large

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Garlic crushed4 cloves

  • Ginger grated 2 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 tablespoon

  • Cinnamon 1 Stick

  • Lemon rind 1 teaspoon

  • Lemon rind 1 teaspoon

  • Oil 4 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed 1 teaspoon

  • coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoon


Step 1

Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add onions and saute for two to three minutes.

Step 2

Add turmeric powder, garlic, ginger, red chilli powder, cinnamon and saute for two minutes more.Add lemon rind, tomato puree, one and half cups of water, salt and peppercorns.

Step 3

Simmer for twenty minutes on until the gravy thickens. Add fish pieces. Cover and cook till fish is done.Sprinkle coriander leaves and serve hot.
