Damper Bread There is nothing as tasty as home baked fresh bread. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. Line a baking tray with butter paper. Mix together flour, salt and baking powder in a bowl. Add butter cubes and rub with your fingertips till it resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add three-fourth cup water and knead into semi-soft dough. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently for one to two minutes. Flatten the dough into a disc of eighteen centimeter diameter and place it on the tray. Dip a knife in flour and make incisions on top. This is the damper bread. Dust the damper with a little extra flour and bake in the preheated oven for thirty minutes. Cool slightly. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
