Ingredients for Chicken Stew Recipe

  • Chicken cut into 1½ inch cubes on the bone 800 grams

  • Garlic sliced 7-8 cloves

  • Onions sliced 2 medium

  • Carrots cut into 1 inch cubes 2 medium

  • Potatoes cut into 1 inch cubes 2 medium

  • Whole wheat flour (atta) 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Chicken stock 5 cups

  • Black pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • French beans cut into 1 inch pieces 6-8

  • Skimmed milk 1/2 cup


Step 1

Heat a non-stick pan and add garlic, onions, carrots and potatoes and roast for four to five minutes on high heat.

Step 2

Add whole-wheat flour to the vegetables and roast for a minute. Add chicken pieces, salt and cook for three to four minutes. Add stock and bring it to a boil.

Step 3

Add half of the pepper powder. Cover and cook for three to four minutes. Uncover, add French beans, mix and cook for a minute.

Step 4

Add milk and remaining pepper powder. Cover and cook on medium heat for seven to eight minutes.

Step 5

Serve hot.
