Chicken Satay - Grill Pan

Boneless chicken breasts, Marinade

  • Boneless chicken breasts skinned
  • Marinade
  • Lemon grass
    2 stalk
  • Shallots
  • Garlic
    2 cloves
  • Red chilli powder
    1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder
    1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Oil
    1 tablespoon
  • Satay sticks soaked


Step 1

Cut each chicken breast into half-inch broad strips and flatten lightly. Grind together lemon grass, shallots, garlic, red chilli powder and turmeric powder. Add salt and mix well.

Step 2

Mix in the chicken and set aside to marinate for one hour. Thread chicken onto the wooden skewers. Heat the Grill Pan, grease it lightly with a few drops of oil and place a few skewers with the chicken in it.

Step 3

Cook on high heat, turning frequently, for three to four minutes, or till just cooked. Serve immediately with peanut sauce.
