Cheesy Onion and Pepper Sandwich

Ingredients list for Cheesy Onion and Pepper Sandwich

  • 4 Cheese slices
  • 1 medium Yellow bell pepper cut into triangles
  • 1 medium Red bell pepper cut into triangles
  • 1 medium Green capsicum cut into triangles
  • 8 Brown bread slices
  • 2 teaspoon Butter
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Dried mixed herbs
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes

Method

  1. Heat a non-stick tawa. Place bread slices on top and toast till evenly done from both sides.
  2. Heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté for a minute.
  3. Add yellow pepper, red pepper and capsicum. Toss well and sauté on high heat for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add salt, herbs, crushed peppercorns and red chilli flakes and toss to mix. Switch off heat.
  5. Spread a portion of cooked mixture on 4 toasted bread slices and place a cheese slice on each of them.
  6. Put the prepared slices on a non-stick tawa and let the cheese melt.
  7. Remove from heat and cover with the remaining toasted bread slices.
  8. Cut into triangles and serve immediately.
