  • Unsalted butter 1/4 cup

  • Brown sugar 6 tablespoons

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) 1/4 cup

  • Golden syrup 1/2 cup

  • Fresh cream 2/3 cup


Step 1

Melt butter in a heavy pan, add brown sugar, castor sugar and golden syrup. Cook gently, stirring continuously, for three to four minutes over low heat.

Step 2

Remove from heat and gradually add cream. Serve warm or cold.
