Corn was indigenous to America, but is now grown throughout the world. It is used as a vegetable, briefly boiled or roasted or eaten with butter. And it would also interest you to know that the favourite popcorn, made by popping the small corn kernels, is a wholesome cereal food and is easily digested. Besides this, corn sees its use in various other ways – salads, soups, subzis and even sweets too!

Ingredients for Bhuna Bhutta Recipe

  • American sweet corn on the cob 2

  • Salt to taste

  • Nutralite Butter 2 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 2 tablespoons

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Brown sugar 2 teaspoons

Method

Step 1

Peel off the skin of the corn cobs. Keep the cobs on individual twelve-inch by twelve-inch square pieces of aluminium foil.

Step 2

Either sprinkle salt, smear butter and lemon juice or sprinkle salt, red chilli flakes, red chilli powder, brown sugar and smear butter and lemon juice.

Step 3

Wrap the aluminium foil pieces around the cobs and twist the ends like a toffee.

Step 4

Place the cobs on live charcoal on a barbecue and cook for fifteen minutes. Open the foil and serve hot.
