This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 28 Jul 2015 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Barley, Peanuts Cuisine Fusion Course Soups Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Barley And Peanut Soup 1 cup Barley 1/2 cup Peanuts 2 tablespoons Oil 2 Bay leaves 4 Green cardamoms 5 Black cardamoms 15-20 Black peppercorns 1 inch stick Cinnamon 5 cloves Garlic, mashed 1 inch piece Ginger, cut into thin strips 2 medium Onions, cubed 1 cup Green peas to taste Salt Method Heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add bay leaves, green cardamoms, black cardamoms, black peppercorns, cinnamon and sauté till fragrant. Add garlic and ginger and sauté for ½ minute. Add onions, green chillies and sauté. Add carrots, peanuts, green peas, barley, salt and mix well. Add 4 cups hot water, cover and cook upto 4 whistles on high heat. Reduce heat to low and cook for 10-12 minutes. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
