Ingredients

  • Potatoes 1 inch cubes2 medium

  • Cauliflower large florets1 medium

  • Oil 3 tablespoons

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Green chillies slit3

  • Ginger paste 1 tablespoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Yogurt 2 tablespoons

  • Ginger cut into thin strips2 inch pieces

  • Tomato chopped (optional)1 large

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Heat oil in a kadai and add cumin seeds. When they begin to change colour, add green chillies and ginger paste. Sauté for half a minute.

Step 2

Add potatoes and cauliflower and stir. Sauté for two to four minutes.

Step 3

Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt and mix. Add yogurt and mix again, cover and cook on medium heat till done.

Step 4

Add ginger strips and stir well. Add tomato and stir. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
