Ingredients for Vendakkai Mor Thalippu Recipe

  • Ladyfinger 200 grams

  • Yogurt 2 cups

  • Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Rice flour 1 teaspoon

  • Oil 2-3 tablespoons

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Dried red chillies 2-3

  • Onion sliced 1 medium

  • Curry leaves 6-8

  • Green chillies slit 2

  • Salt to taste

Method

Step 1

Whip yogurt with turmeric powder and rice flour till smooth.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non stick pan and add mustard seeds.

Step 3

When they splutter, add fenugreek seeds, red chillies, onion, curry leaves and green chillies and sauté.

Step 4

Cut ladyfingers into 2 inch pieces and add and sauté well.

Step 5

Add whipped yogurt and mix well.

Step 6

Add ½ cup little water and salt and mix well.

Step 7

Cover and cook for 2 minutes on low heat. Serve hot.
