Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add onions and saute till translucent.
Add ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt and saute for a minute.
Add tomatoes and cover the lid and cook till the tomatoes gets cooked.
Add the drained dal and then cover and cook for two minutes. Add cumin powder and mix well.
Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves.
