Ingredients list for Sweet Wantons
- 8 Wonton wrappers
- 1/4 cup Peanuts roasted
- 4-5 Seedless dates
- 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
- 1/2 cup Scraped fresh coconut
- 1 tablespo + for sprinkling White sesame seeds toasted
- 8 teaspoons Cornstarch slurry
- for drizzling Honey
Method
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Put roasted peanuts in a chopper jar and crush coarsely. Roughly chop dates, put into the chopper jar and crush. Add brown sugar and crush again.
- Add scraped fresh coconut and crush some more till all the ingredients are well blended. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Add sesame seeds and mix well.
- Place wonton wrappers on the worktop, place a portion peanut mixture in one corner of each wrapper, apply 1 tsp cornstarch slurry on the edges, fold over and seal the edges to make triangular parcel.
- Gently slide the wontons into hot oil and deep-fry till crisp and golden. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Arrange the wontons on a serving platter, drizzle honey, sprinkle sesame seeds and serve immediately.
