Ingredients for Surti Papdi Pulao Recipe

  • Surti Papdi broken into 2 pieces 1/2 cup

  • Rice 1 cup

  • Rice soaked and drained 1 1/2 cups

  • Ghee 2 tablespoons

  • Cinnamon stick 1 inch

  • Cloves 5-6

  • Ginger finely chopped 1 inch

  • Green chillies 2-3

  • Salt to taste

  • Juice of ¼ lemon

Method

Step 1

Heat ghee in a non-stick kadai, add cinnamon, cloves and ginger. Slit green chillies and add and sauté till fragrant.

Step 2

Add surti papdi, surti papdi dane, rice, salt, lemon juice and 3 cups water and mix well.

Step 3

Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes or till rice is cooked.

Step 4

Transfer onto a serving plate and serve hot.
