Why is it that when you are stuck at “what should we cook today” the answer is always “make some aloo!” Potatoes are like this…extremely popular and have multipurpose usage.
And did you always think that eating a potato will make you fat?
Well, don’t – it is a surprising source of vitamin C and provides useful amounts of starch, thiamine and niacin and around a hundred grams will provide about eighty calories.
Little did you know!
Whisk together refined flour, sugar, cinnamon powder, soda bicarbonate, milk and sufficient water to form a smooth batter of medium consistency. Add grated sweet potatoes and mix.
Heat 1 tsp oil and 1 tsp butter on a non-stick tawa, pour a ladleful of batter and spread it evenly. Cook for 2-3 minutes or till the underside is golden. Flip, and cook on the other side for 2-3 minutes. Transfer onto a plate. Similarly, make all that pancakes.
Transfer the pancakes onto a serving dish. Sprinkle some icing sugar and cinnamon powder. Drizzle some honey and serve hot.
