Ingredients 

  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, boiled and peeled
  • 2 cups spinach Puree
  • 1 medium onion
  • 7-8 garlic cloves
  • 2-3 green chillies
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 cup chickpeas, boiled and peeled
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Ginger strips for garnish

Method

  1. Quarter onion and put it in mixer jar. Add garlic. Roughly chop green chillies and add and grind to a fine paste.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let them change colour. Add ground paste and sauté till lightly browned.
  3. Add spinach puree and ¼ cup water and mix well.
  4. Cut sweet potatoes into big cubes and add to the pan and mix well. Add chickpeas and mix well. Add salt and garam masala powder and mix well. Cook till the mixture thickens.
  5. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with ginger strips and serve hot.
