    500 grams
  • Garlic,chopped
    10-12 cloves
  • Oil
    3-4 tablespoons
  • Mustard seeds
    1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder
    1 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder
    2 teaspoons
  • Coriander powder
    1 teaspoon
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Sugar
    2 teaspoons
  • Sev
    300 grams


Step 1

Wash and cut tomatoes into cubes. Peel and chop garlic. Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds. When they crackle add chopped garlic. Sauté till light brown in color. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder dissolved in little water. Stir for half a minute and add tomatoes. Cook for another five to ten minutes. Add salt, sugar and one and a half cups of water. Simmer for five minutes. Once it comes to boil, add sev and serve hot immediately.
