Ingredients for Red Pumpkin Chocolate Fingers Recipe

  • Red Pumpkin peeled and cut into 2 inch fingers 300 grams

  • Chocolate roughly chopped 2 cups

  • Sugar 1 1/2 cups

  • Cinnamon sticks 2 one-inch

  • Star anise 2


Step 1

Heat 1 litre water with sugar in a deep non-stick pan. Add cinnamon sticks and star anise.

Step 2

Prick pumpkin fingers, add to the water and cook till soft. Drain and set aside to cool.

Step 3

Put chocolate in a bowl and melt in the microwave for 30 seconds.

Step 4

Place a butter paper on a tray.

Step 5

Dip the pumpkin fingers in the melted chocolate so that they are evenly coated and keep them on the tray.

Step 6

Keep the tray in the refrigerator to set for 2-3 minutes. Transfer onto a serving plate and serve.
