Ingredients list for Punjabi Roasted Mutton

  • 750 grams Boneless Mutton cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoon Malt Vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic paste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons Coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns
  • 2 tablespoons Red chilli paste
  • 3 tablespoons Malt vinegar
  • 3 tablespo Mustard oil
  • 2 medium Potatoes halved
  • 2 medium Onions cut into wedges
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Preheat the oven at 180° C. Lightly pound mutton pieces and transfer them in a bowl.
  2. Add papaya paste, ginger paste, garlic paste, coriander powder, garam masala powder, crushed black peppercorns, red chilli paste, vinegar, mustard oil and mix well.
  3. Add potatoes, onions and salt and mix well.
  4. Grease an aluminium tray with mustard oil and spread the mutton mixture on it.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Transfer on to a serving plate and serve hot.
