Ingredients for Pistewala Dalia Recipe

  • Pistachios chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Dalia soaked for ½ hour and drained 1/2 cup

  • Ghee 2 teaspoons

  • Green peas blanched 8 tablespoons

  • Milk 1 cup

  • Sugar 5 tablespoons

  • Pistachios blanched and chopped


Step 1

Heat 1 tsp ghee in non stick pan.

Step 2

Grind green peas with 2-3 tbsps water in a blender till smooth.

Step 3

Add dalia in the pan and sauté till translucent. Add pea puree and mix well. Add remaining ghee, mix well and sauté for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4

Add ½ cup milk and stir to mix. Add remaining milk and stir again. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring continuously.

Step 5

Lower heat and add pistachios and sugar. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Pour into individual stemmed glasses and serve chilled garnished with chopped blanched pistachios.
