Ingredients for Penne With Creamy Pesto And Cherry Tomatoes Recipe

  • Penne pasta boiled 200 grams

  • Basil leaves 2 tablespoons

  • Cherry tomatoes 20

  • Extra virgin olive oil 3 1/2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Black peppercorns crushed 5-6

  • Pesto sauce :

  • Basil leaves 3/4 cup

  • Garlic 6 cloves

  • Pine nuts(chilgoza) 3 tablespoons

  • Parmesan cheese,crumbled 3/4 cup


Step 1

For the pesto sauce grind together basil leaves, four garlic cloves, pinenuts, two and a half tablespoons of olive oil and most of the Parmesan cheese till smooth.

Step 2

Slice the remaining garlic cloves. Heat the remaining olive oil in a non-stick pan. Add the garlic and sauté till golden.

Step 3

Add cherry tomatoes and sauté for two to three minutes, pressing the tomatoes a little with the back of the ladle.

Step 4

Add the pasta and toss for two minutes. Add the pesto sauce and toss for two minutes. Add the cream, salt and crushed peppercorns and toss.

Step 5

Cook for a minute. Serve hot garnished with the remaining Parmesan cheese.
