Believe it or not, it is the mainstay dish of all those who want a filling meal in a jiffy. What fascinates most food lovers is that it is available in a multitude of shapes, colours and now even flavours. The variety of shapes, sizes and designs include tubes, ribbons, spirals, shells, bows and wheels. Pleasures of pasta!

Ingredients for Pasta In Mushroom Sauce Recipe

  • Long Penne Pasta boiled 2 cups

  • Button Mushrooms chopped 3/4 cup

  • Butter 1 tablespoon

  • Garlic chopped 4-5

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • White Sauce 1 cup

  • Dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon

  • Processed cheese grated 2 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste


Step 1

To make the mushroom sauce, melt butter in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté till light brown. Add onion and sauté till translucent.

Step 2

Add mushrooms and sauté for three to four minutes. Add three-fourth cup water and cook for two to three minutes. Add white sauce, oregano, cheese and salt and mix well. Add penne pasta and toss till the sauce coats the pasta. Serve hot.
