Ingredients for Oats and Nut Bars Recipe

  • Oats 1 cup

  • Dark Chocolate roughly chopped 5-6

  • Almonds roughly chopped 5-6

  • Walnuts roughly chopped 5-6

  • Square vanilla sponge cake 1

  • Chopped dark chocolate 1 cup

  • Fresh cream 1/4 cup

  • Milk 3 teaspoons

Method

Step 1

Dry roast oats in a non-stick pan and put into a bowl.

Step 2

Dry roast cashewnuts, almonds and walnuts in the same pan, till golden. Add to the oats and mix well.

Step 3

Put chocolate in a bowl and melt in a microwave for a minute. Remove from the oven and whisk till smooth.

Step 4

Heat cream in the same non-stick pan till just warm and pour over the melted chocolate and mix well.

Step 5

Add chocolate mixture to oat-nut mixture and mix well. Add milk and mix well. Chill for five to ten minutes.

Step 6

Halve the vanilla sponge horizontally and spread the chocolate mixture over each half and refrigerate till the chocolate sets. Cut into bars and serve.
