This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Mar 2017 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Oats , Onions Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Oats Kande Pohe 1 cup Oats 2 medium Onions finely chopped 1 1/2 cups Pressed rice (poha) 1 tablespoon Oil a pinch Asafoetida 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds 12-15 Curry leaves 2 tablespoons Roasted peanuts 1 inch pie Ginger finely chopped 2 Green chillies finely chopped 2 medium Potatoes boiled peeled and cut into 1 inch cubes 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1 tablespoon Green peas 1/2 teaspoon Sugar to taste Salt Juice of ½ lemon 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped Method Advertisment Soak poha in a bowl for 2-3 minutes or till soft. Add the oats and strain the two. Heat oil in a non stick kadai. Add asafoetida, mustard seeds, cumin seeds, curry leaves and peanuts and sauté for 1 minute. Add ginger and green chillies and sauté 1 minute. Add onions and potatoes and mix well and saute for 2 minutes. Add poha, oats, turmeric powder, green peas, sugar, salt, lemon juice, coriander leaves and mix well. Let it heat through. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
