Ingredients for Mixed Raita Recipe

  • Yogurt 1 1/2 cups

  • Carrot grated 1/2 cup

  • Radish grated 1/2 cup

  • Tomatoes chopped 1/2 cup

  • Green chillies 2

  • Ginger 1 inch piece

  • Carom seeds (ajwain) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Oil 1/2 teaspoon

  • Mustard Seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Jeera (Cumin Seeds) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Asafoetida (hing) a pinch

  • Chana Dal 1/2 teaspoon

  • Urad dal 1/2 teaspoon

Method

Step 1

Squeeze the water from grated radish. Blend the green chillies & ginger in a blender.

Step 2

Now bake the grated carrot, grated radish & tomato pieces in Microwave oven for twenty seconds.

Step 3

Add yogurt, green chillies paste, ajwain, salt & coriander to the baked mixture and mix well.

Step 4

Heat oil in a non stick pan add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and hing, when it starts spluttering add split bengal grams, split skinless black grams and saute for a minute.

Step 5

Add this tempering to the yogurt mixture and serve.
