Ingredients for Masala Cheese Puri

  • Cheese grated 100 grams

  • Wheat flour 2 cups

  • Ginger-green chilli paste 1 teaspoon

  • Asafoetida a pinch

  • Amchur powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder a pinch

  • Red chilli powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Cumin powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil to deep fr

Method

Step 1

Mix together cheese, ginger-green chilli paste, asafoetida, amchur, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and cumin powder in a bowl and mash well.

Step 2

Mix wheat flour, salt and enough water in another bowl and knead into a stiff dough.

Step 3

Divide the dough into equal portions and roll them into balls. Grease each ball with a little oil and shape into a katori.

Step 4

Stuff with cheese mixture, gather the edges and seal. Apply a little oil and roll it into a puri.

Step 5

Heat sufficient oil in a fryer, gently slide in each puri and deep fry till golden.

Step 6

Drain on absorbent paper. Transfer onto a serving plate and serve hot.

How to make Masala Cheese Puri

Step 1
