By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 May 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Surti Papdi, Basmati Rice Cuisine Gujarati Course Rice Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Lilva Rice 1/4 cup Surti Papdi 1/4 cup Basmati Rice 1 1/2 cups Basmati rice soaked 1/2 inch piece Ginger roughly chopped 4 Green chillies 1/2 cup + to garnish Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1/2 tablespoon Lemon juice 2 tablespoons Ghee 1 inch stick Cinnamon 2 Cloves Salt Method Advertisment Grind ginger, green chillies, coriander leaves and lemon juice to a smooth paste. Heat ghee in a pan, add cinnamon, cloves and rice and sauté for two to three minutes. Add surti papdi and the papdi beans along with salt and mix. Add the ground paste diluted in half cup of water. Mix well. Add two and a half cups of water and mix. Once the mixture comes to a boil, reduce heat, cover and let it cook till done. Serve hot.
