Ingredients for Lemon And Fresh Turmeric Pickle Recipe

  • Lemon 500 grams

  • Fresh Turmeric peeled 250 grams

  • Salt 3 1/2 teaspoons

  • Red chilli powder 3 teaspoons

  • Split mustard seeds (rai ki dal) 4 teaspoons

  • Mustard powder 1 teaspoon

  • Fenugreek powder 1 teaspoon

  • Dried fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) 1 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon

  • Sesame oil (til oil) 1 cup


Step 1

Cut each lemon into 8 equal pieces. Add salt and let it marinate for 10-12 hours.

Step 2

Slice turmeric thinly and add to the lemons. Add red chilli powder, split mustard seeds, mustard powder, fenugreek powder, kasoori methi powder and mix well.

Step 3

Add turmeric powder and mix. Add sesame oil and mix well. Transfer into a pickle jar and let it stand for a few days before serving.
