Ingredients for Kurmura Nashta Recipe

  • Puffed Rice 1 cup

  • Dried Golden Apricots 5-7

  • Dried prunes 8-10

  • Brown sugar 2 teaspoons

  • Chocolate powder 3 teaspoons

  • Yogurt whisked 4 tablespoons + 4 teaspoons

  • Raisins for garnishing

  • Slivered almonds blanched & peeled for garnishing

  • Honey for drizzling

Method

Step 1

Roughly chop apricots and prunes.

Step 2

Dry roast puffed rice in a non-stick pan till crisp. Add brown sugar and chocolate powder and mix well. Transfer into a bowl and crush lightly.

Step 3

For each portion put some of the chopped apricots and prunes into a serving bowl. Add 1 tbsp yogurt, some of the puffed rice mixture, top with 1 tsp yogurt, garnish with raisins and slivered almonds and drizzle honey and serve immediately.
