Ingredients list for Honey Sesame Beans

  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • White sesame seeds roasted, 2 tablespoons + for sprinkling
  • 250 grams French beans stringed
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil (til oil)
  • 1/2 tablespoon Ginger grated
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
  • 1 Lemon zest
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Method

  1. Blanch French beans in hot water with some salt. Transfer the beans in a bowl of ice-cold water to refresh. Drain and use.
  2. Heat sesame oil in a non-stick pan. Add ginger, mix and sauté for 30 seconds.
  3. Add French beans, soy sauce, honey, chilli flakes and salt and toss to mix.
  4. Add lemon zest and lemon juice, mix well and cook for a minute. Add sesame seeds and toss to mix.
  5. Sprinkle some sesame seeds and serve hot.
