Ingredients list for Grilled Pineapple Slush

  • 2 medium Pineapples peeled and cut into roundels
  • for greasing Butter
  • 2-3 tablespoons Castor sugar (caster sugar)
  • 3-4 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • to taste Black salt (kala namak)
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 teaspoons Chaat masala
  • 12-15 Fresh mint leaves
  • 18-20 Ice cubes

Method

  1. Heat an electric griller and grease with some butter. Place the pineapple roundels and grill till golden.Transfer in a bowl and cool.
  2. Grind the grilled pineapples to make a smooth puree.
  3. Strain the pineapple puree into another bowl. Put it back in the blender. Add castor sugar, lemon juice, black salt, salt, chaat masala and mint leaves and blend.Add ice cubes and blend again.
  4. Pour into serving glasses and serve garnished with mint sprigs.
