Ingredients list for Greenpeas Kachori
- 1 cup Green peas mashed
- 1 inch stick Cinnamon
- 4 Cloves
- 4 Green cardamoms
- 4 Black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon Coriander seeds
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
- 2 teaspoon Green chilli paste
- 4 tablespoons Roasted peanuts coarsely powdered
- 3 tablespoons Walnuts powder
- 8-10 Raisins
- 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- to taste Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida
- 3 cup Refined flour (maida)
- 2 cups Oil
Method
- Heat a non-stick pan. Add cinnamon, cloves, green cardamoms, black peppercorns, coriander seeds and cumin seeds and roast it for a minute.
- Remove and cool and then grind it to a fine powder. To the same pan add the green peas and saute for five minutes.
- Remove and transfer it to a bowl. Add the ground spice mixture, ginger paste, green chilly paste, roasted peanuts, walnut powder, raisins, powdered sugar, lemon juice, salt and hing and mix well.
- Divide the dough into eight equal portions.Meanwhile make the dough using maida, salt and water. Divide it in eight equal portions.Stuff the balls with the green peas mixture and shape them in the form of kachori.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Deep fry the kachoris till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper. Serve hot with chutney.
