Ingredients for Gooey Peanut Chocolate Tart Recipe

  • Salted Peanuts 1 cup

  • Chocolate Bars 8

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 cups

  • Butter 1/4 cup

  • Sugar 3 tablespoons

  • Cinnamon powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Fresh cream 2 cups

Method

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 180° C.

Step 2

Mix together refined flour, butter, sugar and cinnamon powder in a bowl and rub with your fingertips till the mixture resembles breadcrumbs or gets a sandy consistency. Add sufficient water and knead into semi stiff dough.

Step 3

Press the dough into a tart mould. Prick lightly with a fork. Bake in the preheated oven for 16-18 minutes.

Step 4

Remove from the oven, cool and separate from the mould

Step 5

Heat cream in a non-stick pan. Break chocolate bars into small pieces and add to the cream and cook till the chocolate melts.

Step 6

Add peanuts and mix well. Spread the mixture in the tart shell and keep in the refrigerator to set.

Step 7

Cut into wedges, arrange on a serving plate and serve.
