Ingredients list for Gajar Puri
- 2 medium Carrots boiled
- 2 cups Whole Wheat Flour
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain)
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- as required Buttermilk
- 1 tablespo Oil
Method
- Place wheat flour in a bowl, add carrot puree, red chilli powder, carom seeds and salt and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix.
- Slowly add buttermilk and knead into stiff dough. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Add 1 tbsp of hot oil the dough and knead.
- Divide the dough into small portions and roll into balls. Apply a little oil to each ball and roll into puris.
- Deep-fry the puris in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot.
