Preheat the sizzler plate over open flame. Halve the sponge cakes horizontally. Place the ring mould over one half of vanilla and chocolate cakes and cut round slices with the help of a sharp knife. Moisten the rounds with orange juice.
2. Place the chocolate sponge round in the ring mould at the base. Spread a thick layer of gajar halwa over it and smoothen the surface. Place the vanilla sponge round over the gajar halwa layer and press lightly. Once again spread a thick layer of gajar halwa. Smoothen the top. If you wish you can keep this sandwich in the refrigerator for some time.
3. Fold a sheet of aluminium foil. Place the heated sizzler plate over the wooden base. Place the folded foil over the plate. Now place the cake sandwich over the foil.
4. Gently loosen the sandwich from the ring mould. Pour some rabdi over the sandwich. Decorate with silver foil.
5. Sprinkle almond flakes and serve immediately.
