Crab in Devils Sauce

Ingredients list for Crab in Devils Sauce

  • 2 medium Crabs shelled, abdomen slit and claws braised
  • 3-4 Kashmiri dried red chillies
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic minced
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2-3 Tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup White wine
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Dried oregano
  • 5-6 Green olives pitted
  • 1 tablespo Fresh mint leaves

Method

  1. Grind red chillies with a little water into a fine paste.
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté well. Add onion and sauté till onion turns translucent.
  3. Add tomatoes, stir for a minute. Add red chilli paste, mix well and sauté for a minute.
  4. Add white wine, mix and cook on medium heat. Add crabs, mix well. Add salt, oregano, ½ cup water, mix, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Add olives, 1 tablespoon mint leaves and mix well. Cook for a minute.
  6. Garnish with mint leaves and serve hot.
