By Sanjeev Kapoor 04 Aug 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Couscous, American corn kernels Cuisine Fusion Course Rice Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Difficult Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Couscous Makai Pulao 1 cup Couscous 1 cup American corn kernels 1 tablespoon Olive oil 2 tablespoons Butter 1 inch stick Cinnamon 2-3 Cloves 2-3 Green cardamoms 1 medium Onion sliced 1 inches Ginger chopped 1/2 teaspoon Garlic chopped 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder to taste Salt 1 3/4 cups Vegetable stock 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves chopped Method Advertisment Heat olive oil and butter in a non-stick pan, add cinnamon, cloves, green cardamoms and sauté for a minute. Add onions and sauté till translucent. Add ginger and garlic and sauté it for a minute. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt. Mix well and cook for two to three minutes. Add corn kernels and mix well and cook for two to three minutes. Add couscous and cook for a few minutes. Add vegetable stock and coriander leaves and mix well. Cover and cook on medium heat till all the water is absorbed. Serve hot.
