Ground sweet corn mixed with bread and masalas, shaped into patties, rolled in bread crumbs and shallow fried.

Main Ingredients

American corn kernels,






  • American corn kernels blanched
    1 cup
  • Ginger chopped
    1 teaspoon
  • Green chilli chopped
  • Red chilli powder
    1 teaspoon
  • Chaat masala
    1 teaspoon
  • Dry mango powder (amchur)
    1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
    2 teaspoons
  • Cornflour/ corn starch
    2 teaspoons
  • Bread hand torn
    4 slices
  • Salt
    to taste
  • Bread crumbs
    2 tablespoons
  • Oil
    to deep fry


Step 1

Grind the sweet corns along with ginger and green chilli.

Step 2

In a bowl mix together corn kernels paste, ginger, green chillies, red chilli powder, chaat masala, dry mango powder, chopped fresh coriander, corn flour, bread slices and salt.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties.Coat the patties with breadcrumbs and keep aside.

Step 4

Heat oil in a non stick pan and shallow fry the patties till golden brown on both the sides and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
