Corn Capsicum Tikki

Corn was indigenous to America, but is now grown throughout the world. It is used as a vegetable, briefly boiled or roasted or eaten with butter. Ingredients for Corn Capsicum Tikki

  • Sweet corn kernels coarsely crushed 1 cup

  • Capsicum finely chopped 5 tablespoons

  • Raw bananas boiled 2

  • Green chilli paste 2 tablespoons

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Sugar 1 tablespoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Bread crumbs for coating

  • Oil to deep fry

Method

Step 1

Combine all the ingredients, except the bread crumbs, in a bowl and mix well.

Step 2

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into small round flat tikkis. Roll each tikki into bread crumbs so that they are evenly coated from all the sides.

Step 3

Heat the oil in a kadhai and deep fry each tikki, till they turn golden brown and crisp from all the sides. Drain on an absorbent paper and serve hot.
