Heat the milk and set aside. To make the coffee, combine the coffee powder and sugar in a large bowl. Add two to three tablespoons of hot water and whisk for six to eight minutes till the mixture changes colour and turns creamy.
Pour the mixture into four large cups. Strain the milk and pour into the cups till three- fourth full and stir gently. Gently place a scoop of ice cream on the coffee in each cup.
Drizzle a tablespoon of coffee liqueur over the ice cream and serve immediately.
