Ingredients list for Coconut rice

  • 1/2 cup Scraped coconut
  • 1 1/2 cups Cooked rice
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal)
  • 1 teaspoon Split Bengal gram (chana dal)
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 5-6 Curry leaves
  • 1 Green chilli, chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add urad dal, chana dal, cumin seeds and curry leaves and saute for a minute.
  2. Add green chillies and coconut and cook for a minute.
  3. Add salt and black pepper powder along with rice and mix well.Serve hot.
