Ingredients for Chicken Vol-au-vent Recipe

  • Boneless chicken breasts cut into small cubes 150 grams

  • Vol-au-vent puff pastries 12-16

  • Oil 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic cloves chopped 8-10

  • Red chilli flakes 1 teaspoon

  • Crushed black peppercorns 1/4 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • fresh thyme sprigs 5-6

  • Basil leaves chopped 8-9

  • Cream cheese 2 tablespoons

  • Parsley sprigs for garnishing


Step 1

Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.

Step 2

Add chicken cubes and sauté.

Step 3

Add red chilli flakes, crushed peppercorns, salt, thyme and basil. Toss well and cook till the chicken is done. Switch off heat, transfer in a bowl and cool to room temperature.

Step 4

Add cream cheese and mix well. Stuff this mixture into the vol-au-vent puff pastries.

Step 5

Garnish with parsley sprigs and serve immediately.
