When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Tequila Pasta Recipe

  • Chicken cut into ½ inch cubes 400 grams

  • Fettucini 3 tablespoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Butter 3 tablespoon

  • Cilantro chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Garlic crushed 2 tablespoons

  • Jalapeno chopped 2 tablespoons

  • Vegetable stock 1/2 cup

  • Lime juice 2 tablespoons

  • Onion thickly sliced 1/4 medium

  • Red bell pepper cut into juliennes 1/2 medium

  • Fettuccine cooked 4 cups


Step 1

Marinate the chicken with soya sauce and salt and refrigerate it for half an hour.

Step 2

Heat one tablespoon butter in a non stick pan add cilentro, garlic and jalapenos and saute for two minutes.

Step 3

Add half cup vegetable stock and lemon juice and bring to boil.

Step 4

Remove and set aside and grind to a smooth paste.

Step 5

Heat the remaining butter in another non stick pan, add onions and saute till light brown.

Step 6

Add bell pepper, saute for a minute. Add the marinated chicken toss for five minutes.

Step 7

Add tequilla, pasta and salt and allow the mixture to boil.

Step 8

Add the above cilentro sauce and let it simmer for five minutes on low heat.

Step 9

Remove from heat and serve hot.
