Ever wondered why the phrase “say cheese” is used just before a photograph is clicked? Simply because ‘cheese’ makes one smile! Not only the word but cheese as a food makes a lot of palates happy. It is an inexpensive, versatile and nourishing food. We have our very own Indian version as well as the ones made from soy milk that are even healthier. Ingredients for Cheese wiches Recipe

  • Cheese slices 4

  • Brown bread slices 8

  • Eggs beaten 2

  • Nutralite 4 tablespoons

  • Tomato ketchup 4 tablespo

  • Milk 1/2 cup

  • Sugar 2 teaspoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper powder to taste

  • Olive oil 2 tablespoons


Step 1

Apply Nutralite on the bread slices and spread the tomato ketchup on them evenly.

Step 2

Place one cheese slice on each of four bread slices and cover with the remaining bread slices. Trim the edges. Cut each sandwich diagonally into two triangles.

Step 3

Add the milk, sugar, salt and pepper powder to the eggs and whisk well.

Step 4

Heat the olive oil in a non stick pan. Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture and place on the pan and shallow fry till evenly golden on both the sides.

Step 5

Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
