Chana dal Cabbage

Ingredients list for Chana dal Cabbage

  • 1 medium Cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup Split Bengal gram (chana dal)
  • 2 tablespoons Oil

Method

  1. Pressure cook the chana dal with 1 cup water till three whistles. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a non stick pan, heat oil, add curry leaves, mustard seeds, ginger, garlic and onions. Saute well till soft. Add cabbage and toss well. Add salt and ½ cup water.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat till done.Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, tomatoes and chana dal. Cook for five minutes.Add coriander leaves and serve hot.
