Ingredients for Bread Croquettes Recipe

  • Bread slices 8

  • Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed 2 medium

  • Carrot shredded 1/4

  • Ginger finely chopped 1 teaspoon

  • Cabbage finely chopped 1/4 cup

  • Green capsicum finely chopped 1/4 cup

  • Spinach finely chopped 1/4 cup

  • Onion finely chopped 1 small

  • Green peas boiled and mashed 1/4 cup

  • Rice flour 2-3 teaspoons

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Cumin powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Chaat masala 1 teaspoon

  • Oil for deep-frying

Method

Step 1

Trim edges of the bread slices and put the slices in a bowl. Sprinkle one to two tablespoons of water and mash well.

Step 2

Add potatoes, carrot, ginger, cabbage, capsicum, spinach, onion, green peas, rice flour, red chilli powder, cumin powder, salt and chaat masala and mix well.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into sixteen equal portions and shape them into long croquettes.

Step 4

Heat sufficient oil in a kadai, slide in the croquettes and deep-fry croquettes on medium heat till golden. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 5

Serve hot.
